Michaela Benvie, CCA

Michaela is one of the Community Care Managers at RWHC. Michaela is the friendly face you’ll often see at local events and expos throughout the communities in Colchester County and Pictou County. She completes new client assessments, updates care plans, and works closely with families to ensure seniors receive personalized, homecare services - right at home.

I started my healthcare journey after completing the Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) program at Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) in Truro. Since then, I’ve gained over ten years of experience working in long-term care, acute care, private community care, and intensive care settings.
I’m passionate about empowering our care professionals with the knowledge, tools, and confidence they need to succeed in their roles. I believe that when caregivers feel supported and well-prepared, they can provide exceptional care that truly makes a difference. Through ongoing education and hands-on support, I help ensure our team can deliver compassionate, personalized care that meets each client’s unique needs. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing our clients safe, healthy, and thriving at home—maintaining their independence and living life on their own terms.
I’m originally from Upper Stewiacke, and when I’m not working, I love being outdoors, spending time with my two golden retrievers, and enjoying the comforts of home.
